As part of data management compliance, some grants and other agreements/contracts require you to save final data for some amount of time in a repository. Sometimes you must make those data available to other folks. For grants, the PI remains accountable for compliance and, for convienence, we use the same term (PI) and compliance accountability for other agreements/contracts.
For you, the PI, UNT offers two types of final data archive repositories:
- Public: Anybody with Internet access may access the final data. Use the UNT Libraries' UNT Data Repository and contact untrepository@unt.edu.
- Restricted or Confidential/Sensitive Data: The PI:
- Requests that we create a restricted or confidential/sensitive data repository.
- Uses the access request form to allow access by specific individuals.
For non-final, work-in-progress, please request a folder on our file storage services (H: Home, S: Shared, and R: Research).
